Counter-Strike 2 is real
Counter Strike 2 is now official and availabe for limited test. Tick rate will no longer matter for moving, shooting, or throwing. There will be upgraded maps with new lighting and rendering systems, and dynamic smoke grenades that create volumetric 3D objects.

Counter-Strike 2 introduces a major redesign to its map. Touchstone maps have been updated with improvements to lighting and character design. This provide more realistic materials, lighting, and reflections. With the upgraded lighting, you can expect maps to be brighter, cleaner, and more visually refreshing.
New Sub-tick system
Sub-tick updates form the core of Counter-Strike 2’s gameplay. Before, servers checked the game at set time intervals, called ticks. However, with the new sub-tick system, servers can now pinpoint the precise moment when movement initiates, a bullet is discharged, or a grenade is launched.’
How to gain access to play Counter Strike 2
To gain access to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test, you will need to be selected by the Valve team based on factors such as recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing. If you are chosen, you will receive a notification on the main menu of CS:GO. To participate, select “ENROLL” and download the update. Once the download is complete, launch CS:GO and choose the “Limited Test” option to play the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test. Keep checking your CS:GO main menu periodically, as more players will be added to the Limited Test over time.
